Outline
4 ball juggling is basically juggling with 4 balls. Like juggling with any even number of balls, the balls in that hand will stay in that hand. Learning 4 ball juggling can be quite tricky at first but keep with it and you'll get there eventually.
General Advice
The best place to start is with 3 ball juggling as this is easier to learn and will allow you to grasp the basics of juggling.
This is also one of those skills that is best developed by doing a little bit every day. 5 minutes every day is going to be of more benefit than 1 hour straight once a week.
Exercises
The basic mechanism of 4 ball juggling is 2 ball juggling with one hand so you want to start off by making sure you're rather good at this with both hands.
Evening out your throws. Typically, one hand will throw the balls slightly differently to the other and the more you can minimize this the smoother your juggling is going to be. A good way to do this is to take 1 ball in each hand and throw them up into the air at the same time. Try to aim for having both balls rise to the same height and be caught at the same time. Vary the height of your throws also.
2 ball collision. The aim here is to take 1 ball in each hand. You are going to throw them up and towards each other with the intention that they will collide in the middle, bounce apart and fall back down into your hands. This exercise will help with timing and accuracy.
